Yamal LNG swings to 135.6 bln rbl IFRS net profit in January–June

MOSCOW, Aug 9 (PRIME) -- Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer Yamal LNG posted a 135.6 billion ruble net profit in January–June against a 73.1 billion ruble net loss in the same period of 2018, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said in a report on Friday.

Revenue quadrupled on the year to 150.5 billion rubles in the period, while operating expenses soared more than fivefold to 78.4 billion rubles. Operating profit tripled to 73.1 billion rubles.

Positive impact from exchange rate differences amounted to 169.7 billion rubles, so the company posted a 161.8 billion ruble pretax profit in January–June against an 86.1 billion ruble pretax loss in the same period of last year.
